How to be Confident in Job Interviews?

Last Tuesday, I taught you how to handle a mental block during an interview. Today, let me talk about how important confidence is when trying to land your dream job.
People will always tell you to be confident when you are called in for an interview, but this is easier said than done, especially for new job applicants. Often, you may get intimidated by the interviewer and this may cause you to ramble and blabber when answering questions.
So, how can you act confident during your next interview?
- Remember your value- Remember you were invited to an interview because you have potential. The interviewer saw something in you that made you stand out, so you also need to believe that you can do it.
- Use the Power Persuasion- Convince others that you are exactly what they need through confidence and persuasion.
- Organize your thoughts- Frame your answers by setting them up properly from the beginning. Add emotions and feelings, get into the details, and paint the picture of the situation when answering behavioral questions.
- Prepare for more stories- Always have a story to tell. Ties these stories in with your technical expertise, leadership, communication skills, etc.
- Visualize- You can do this by imagining a positive interview process before your actual interview. Visualize yourself reaching success and being able to answer the interview questions well.
