The Most Common Interview Question

We all know that interviews are exciting. That doesn't mean they aren’t nerve-racking too, right?

So, you were called in for an interview. How do you prepare yourself?

Of course, you PRACTICE!

The best thing to do is while practicing is answer the Most Common Interview Questions, today we'll talk about #1.

Most Common Interview Question 1:

Tell me about yourself.

How to answer it?

When asked, tell them about your qualifications, experiences, and how you can be a great fit for the role. Use this time to elaborate on your professional work experience, specializations, time in the industry, etc.

Even better, if you have a hobby that makes you well rounded and links back to your career, talk about that too. For example, let’s say you’re a design engineer and you like drawing. Here’s what you could say,“...I like drawing and drafting, which means I practice all the time on the weekends. This helps me improve my engineering design skills and leverage new methods and techniques leading to more refined detail and analysis in my projects at work.”

Whatever you do, don’t just read off your resume. They’ve already read it, and they want to learn more about you!
