What to include in a CV

If you’re not already familiar with the differences between a resume and a CV, check out our previous blog.

If you are familiar….

You are probably wondering, “How do I make the perfect CV? What should I include?”

Well, here’s a list of what you can put in your CV:

✅ CV header

It is a header containing your name and information. Contact information often includes your name, phone number, email address, and Linkedin URL.

✅ Professional Summary

It explains your qualifications for the job in 3-5 sentences. It should hook the employers through your sales pitch.

✅ Experience

It shows your professional track record and is considered the main body of your CV. This should highlight your achievements and include relevant points that demonstrate that you’re the right person for the job.

✅ Education

It gives the employer a brief overview of your education, studies, and qualifications to date.

✅ Skills

This section should be kept short. Both technical and soft skills should be listed here.

✅ Other Sections

This will depend on what you want to add, such as awards, recognitions, publications, research experience, etc.
